The My Skills page is your personal dashboard for tracking your career growth on TalentLabs. It’s designed to give you a clear, visual understanding of where you are and what you need to do next to achieve your goals.

This guide will walk you through how to read your progress summary and the detailed requirements breakdown for your chosen role.

Your Progress at a Glance πŸ“Š

At the top of the My Skills page, a summary card shows your overall progress.

  • Current Role: This is the career goal you're working towards, like "Mid-level Frontend Engineer." The badge shown is what you'll earn upon completion.

  • Progress Bar: This bar gives you a quick visual snapshot of how close you are to completing all the requirements.

  • Progress Status: Text like "7 out of 20 requirements met" tells you your exact progress.

  • Next Role: This shows you the next logical step in your career path after you master your current role, such as advancing to a "Senior Frontend Engineer."

The Requirements Breakdown: Your To-Do List βœ…

Below the summary, you'll find a detailed list of every requirement you need to complete. This is your actionable roadmap to earning your Verified Role badge.

The list is organized into four expandable pillars, allowing you to focus on one area at a time.

  • Core Skills: Foundational theories and knowledge.

  • Role-Specific Skills: Practical, hands-on skills for the job.

  • Methodologies: Industry-standard frameworks and processes.

  • Tools: The specific software and platforms you'll use.

Understanding Requirement Types

Within each pillar, the requirements come in a few different formats to provide a comprehensive and flexible learning path.

  • 1. Specific Skill Verification: You must pass a specific skill assessment at a designated level. This is for essential, non-negotiable skills.

    • Example: "Pass the Python (Junior) skill verification."

  • 2. Choice from a Skill Group (One Of): This allows you to choose and verify just one skill from a curated group of alternatives.

    • Example: "Verify one of the following programming languages at the Junior level: Python, JavaScript, or Java."

  • 3. Multiple from a Skill Group: This asks you to verify a certain number of skills from a larger group, letting you showcase your specific areas of expertise.

    • Example: "Verify two of the following frontend frameworks at the Mid-level: React, Vue, or Angular."

How to Read the Skill Cards πŸƒ

Each individual skill is shown on its own card, containing all the info you need.

  • Skill Name: The name of the skill, like "Data Structures" or "CSS."

  • Your Current Level (Stars ⭐): The filled-in stars show the skill level you have already verified.

  • Required Level: This text tells you the target level you need to achieve for that specific requirement.

  • Verify β†’: This is your call to action! Clicking it opens a pop-up where you can select the level of verification you'd like to take and begin the assessment process.

  • Completed Status: When you fulfill a requirement, the entire section gets a green Completed checkmark (βœ…), so you can easily see what's done and what's next.
