What Am I Looking At? The Two Parts of the Chart ๐
Your Skills Analysis is presented in two ways to give you both a quick overview and a detailed breakdown.
1. The Radar Chart
The spiderweb-like chart at the top is your Radar Chart. Think of it as a visual representation of your "skill shape."
Each of the four points represents a pillar: Core Skills, Role-Specific Skills, Methodologies, and Tools.
The further the shaded area extends towards a point, the stronger you are in that category.
A balanced shape suggests you have well-rounded skills, while a "spiky" shape indicates areas of deep specialization.
2. The Competency Bars
Below the radar chart, you'll find a set of Competency Bars. These show you the precise percentage score for each of the four pillars, giving you a more detailed and exact measure of your competency in each area.
How Your Score is Calculated ๐งฎ
It's important to understand how we calculate these scores so you can see the real impact of verifying new skills.
The score for each category is the average of your highest percentage score from the verification test for each required skill within that category. Crucially, any skills in the category that you haven't verified yet are included in the calculation and count as 0%.
This method helps you clearly see your skill gaps. As you verify more skills, your average score will increase.
An Example: Calculating Your "Tools" Score
Let's imagine the "Tools" category for your role requires you to know 4 specific tools.
Suppose your verification status is:
Git: Your highest verification test score is 85%.
JIRA: Your highest verification test score is 62%.
Figma: Not yet verified (counts as 0%).
Docker: Not yet verified (counts as 0%).
The calculation would be:
Your score for the "Tools" category would be 37% (rounded up). This score accurately reflects your proven abilities and clearly shows where there is room to grow.
How to Use This Information ๐ฏ
This chart is more than just data; it's your personalized guide for growth.
Identify Your Strengths: Categories with high scores are your current professional strengths. You can confidently highlight these to employers.
Pinpoint Your Gaps: Categories with lower scores are your biggest opportunities for growth. These are the areas where you should focus your learning and next skill verifications.
Use this chart to decide which skill to tackle next to make the biggest impact on your overall profile and move one step closer to your career goals.
