What are Roles? 🎯

A Role on TalentLabs represents a specific career path in the technology industry. Each role is designed to reflect the real-world responsibilities and skill requirements you'd encounter in that job.

When you select a role, you are essentially choosing the "curriculum" you want to master.

What are Levels? 🌱

A Level represents the seniority and experience associated with a role. The expectations for someone new to a field are very different from those for a seasoned veteran who leads teams. Selecting the right level ensures your learning path is tailored to the correct depth and breadth of knowledge.

We offer three distinct levels:

  • Junior Level

    • Experience: Corresponds to 0-2 years of professional experience (YoE).

    • Focus: Learning the core tools of the role, completing well-defined tasks with guidance, and understanding fundamental team processes.

  • Mid-Level

    • Experience: Corresponds to 3-5 years of professional experience (YoE).

    • Focus: Working independently on projects, solving common tasks without supervision, and starting to contribute to planning and strategy.

  • Senior Level

    • Experience: Corresponds to 6-10+ years of professional experience (YoE).

    • Focus: Leading complex projects, mentoring junior team members, influencing strategy, and handling ambiguous challenges with confidence.

The Role Curriculum: Your Path to Mastery ⭐️

Once you've selected a Role and Level (e.g., "Mid-Level Project Manager"), you unlock its unique Role Curriculum.

This curriculum is a comprehensive list of all the skills you need to master to be considered qualified for that position. You can use this curriculum in two powerful ways:

  1. As a Learning Roadmap: If you're unsure what to learn next, the curriculum provides a clear, structured plan. Follow it to systematically build the skills employers are looking for.

  2. As a Verification Checklist: By passing the assessments for each skill in the curriculum, you work your way toward becoming fully verified for the role.

Earning Your "Verified Role" Badge 🏆

When you successfully verify all the skills within a role's curriculum, you automatically earn the Verified Role badge for that specific role and level.

This badge is more than just an icon; it's a powerful signal to your network and potential employers that you have a proven, comprehensive skill set for the job.

Showcase Your Achievement: If you agree, you can make your Verified Role badge visible to the employers and hiring partners on the TalentLabs platform, instantly highlighting you as a qualified candidate and opening doors to new opportunities.
